Ron Paul: This November 5th

On November 5th, 2007 Republican presidential candidate and Texas congressman Ron Paul made US electoral history with an unprecedented single-day fundraising haul. In 24 hours, 36,672 unique donors contributed over $4 million online, and over 200,000 offline, for more than $4.2 million to win the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. Ron Paul supporters created the website “This November 5th” and drove traffic to the site through Digg and severals other ways. 2. Make My Logo Bigger Cream

Agency Fusion, a web development firm, created a special cream to make all their clients happy. Make My Logo Bigger Cream does exactly what you think it will do; it makes logos bigger! But seriously, Agency Fusion did a great job on this hilarious self-promoting viral commercial. Check their special website whoneedsdesigners.com on how you can be the owner of a nice “Make My Logo Bigger” T-shirt. (Source: shedwa)

3. Samsung: How We Met

In the above stop motion film we see the love story of two stick men, drawn on a human body. We see how they met, what he did to impress her and how he finally got her! Making this clip obviously was very labour-intensive, and all done with Samsung’s new G800. The video gained almost 2,4 million YouTube views in just one and a half weeks. At the end of the clip we see a call-to-action to visit www.zoomintosee.com. (Source: Be.Interactive

4. Canon: Battle Of The Viral Video Superstars

To promote their new HG10 AVCHD camcorder, Canon created two viral video all stars teams (Team Wolf and Amazing Falcons) consisting of well-known viral video personalities such as Barats & Bereta, Ricky “Lazy Dork” Stern, Gary “Numa Numa” Brolsma, Ben “Obama Girl” Relles, Chad Vader’s Matt Sloan & Aaron Yonda and Glenn “lonelygirl15/OpAphid” Rubenstein. Each team had three days to shoot and edit a viral video. Viewers can vote for the best video on the special battle site. (Source: computing news)

5. Several Bad Days At The Office

One of my all time favorites are the Bad Day At The Office video’s. All we ever wanted was a compilation of these hilarious clips. And Maverick51883 gave us what we wanted! The Bad Day At The Office compilation, supported by Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day”. To quote Maverick51883: “…sit back, relax, and let the greatest office meltdowns commence!” (Source: Neatorama)

6. The Dark Knight: Rory’s Death Kiss

Darkknight Rory’s Death Kiss

Last week America enjoyed a Halloween holiday. Time for Warner Bros to pull another Joker guerrilla stunt. The movie studio earlier left clues at the Comic Con event and in a Californian comic store. After Ibelieveinharrydent.com, IBelieveInHarveyDentToo.com, Rent-A-Clown, WhySoSerious.com Batman fans are now referred to Rorysdeathkiss.com.

7. Wonderbra vs Cadbury Gorilla

In September Cadbury Dairy Milk introduced a gorilla drumming on In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins. They’re have been a lot of spoofs since. Now 2 months later Wonderbra comes with their version, a drumming Wonderbra model. YouTube user barondrew posted the video 5 days ago on the popular video sharing site. It has been viewed 150,000 times since. The Cadbury Gorilla gets some fierce competition, the comments are already in favour of the Wonderbra model.

8. Playstation 3

My blog colleague Igor wrote a while back the story “Sony PS3: How You Killed your Brand“. During the PS3 introduction Sony forgot about conversational tracking and refused to listen to influential gamers. Moreover the “This is Living” viral commercials about 8 eccentric figures in a hotel were perceived mixed by the blog community. Now Sony is back in the game with their new “Universe of Entertainment” campaign. Agency Spy wrote “Sony Gets It Right” about the latest ads. TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles created the commercials.

9. Guinness: Tipping Point

Last week we wrote about the internet quest, to find the new hidden Guinness broadcast spot online. It has been found! And its latest advert is the most expensive one in its company history. Shot in an Argentinian mountainside village, it features a game of dominoes which escalates to include suitcases, tyres, oil drums, fridges, wardrobes and cars. The new Guinness advertisement took a week to film, with some of the sequences reshot up to 15 times! (Sources: Telegraph.co.uk, Duncan.tv)

10. Samsung: Jonglers

Cheil Communications Russia created three viral videos for Samsung, promoting their new cellphone, which can contain 2 SIM cards. The end screen of the video points to a Russian website: Jonglers.ru. (Source: Serge Fenenko)
