1. Windows Phone 7 Series Features Video
At Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona (from 15 to 18 February) Microsoft finally revealed their Windows Phone 7 Series OS. Where the previous Windows Mobile operating system was not particular ‘good’, compared with iPhone and Android, Windows Phone 7 Series is nothing like its predecessor. This video reveals the OS to the world and got picked up by some of the most influential blogs around. The video got over 700,000 views since Microsoft uploaded it to YouTube two weeks ago.
2. Nike Futebol: Mandingas
In preparation of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South-Africa this summer the Brazilian team, sponsored by Nike and coached by football legend Dunga, presented their new shirt. This Brazilian ‘Mandingas’ video shows the secrets of players like Luis Fabiano, Maicon and Robinho (who presented the new blue shirt at the Rio de Janeiro carnival). The video got almost 140,000 views since last Sunday.
3. Skype Is Mobile
Skype celebrates the fact that they’ve gone mobile with a new campaign: 5 artist from around the world are taking messages from Skype users and turn them to art. The artists use light, graffiti, wood and even juggling to create your message. The campaign comes along with a trailer video, which was uploaded to YouTube over a week ago and got almost 160,000 views. At the micro site outside.skype.com people can easily get in touch with one of the artists and watch videos of their latest work. Definitely really worth a visit.
4. Nike: The Human Chain
I have always loved Nike for their brilliant way of portraying the passion of athletes. This is another innovative commercial showing a number of more and less famous athletes doing the thing they love most. In the commercial we see the athletes in a chain of copies of themselves. Nike created a social web around this campaign using the well-known Just Do It slogan by asking people to post to the Facebook page and to Twitter using #justdoit what they are doing to bring out the best in their athletic selves. The video has 190,148 views since February 12.
5. Sprite: Spark
Toronto based rapper Drake has teamed up with Sprite for the first commercial of its recently launched “Spark” campaign. In the “Unleashed” commercial, Drake is struggling to find inspiration in the studio while recording his hit song “Forever“. Drake drinks a Sprite to help unleash his lyrical prowess. The campaign is aimed at giving youth a platform to express their creativity in music and film. More commercials will be aired that include film-maker Rik Cordero and Taiwanese pop sensation Jay Chou. In two weeks the video got over 190,000 views.
