One of the scariest things about starting a branded Facebook page is the content a brand is going to distribute. Brands always worry about what to post on their Facebook wall. Especially since they are scared of the negative reactions of their customers. But what are successful Facebook posts?
Socialbakers, one of the biggest social media statistics portals in the world, have provided us with some great social media statistics concerning succesful Facebook Page status updates.
Currently they have analyzed the status updates of all the Facebook pages with above 1 million fans, and have created an overview of the best status updates (text-only updates) that these pages sent over the period of the last couple months.
What this stat shows is that Facebook pages should be telling their fans to actually engage with them (click like). This is something that converts very well into actions. It surprises me that this actually works, but the quote: „Monkey see, monkey do“ really applies here. If a brand tells people to simply click Like if they want pizza, and they will do it.
The overview below shows the most succesful posts, but this doesn’t mean that you should always post in this fashion. You should apply a nice mix of different topics, brought in different ways, e.g. photo or video or links to interesting articles. And every once in a while you can use this method to crank up your EdgeRank status.
