Paul van Veenendaal

Paul van Veenendaal (34) is an all-round marketing professional from the Netherlands with 12+ years of online experience and co-founder of blog ViralBlog.

Paul started his professional career in 1999 at internet agency SiteSupport as a webdeveloper and search engine specialist, where he was involved in several projects for clients such as InBev, Shimano, Maersk and Wegener.

In his spare time he founded “Funny Movies” (1999), a platform for viral videos and TV commmercials, which was sold to Canadian company DPMG in December 2005.

After this interesting period he switched in 2005 to the search engine specialists at Onetomarket to start a job as search engine optimizer and internet research specialist. In 2006 he joined digital branding agency LaComunidad in Amsterdam to become “wizard digital lab”. In this position he advised companies about viral marketing, social media, SEO and new internet trends. In 2008 LaComunidad got acquired by GroupM (WPP) and Paul became part of the SocialMedia8 team (a LaComunidad unit) as sr. Social Media Specialist, where he worked for Motorola, KLM, Nokia, Chrysler, IKEA, WNF, LG.

Between 2010 and 2012 Paul worked for Energize Shanghai as Business Development Manager and at Ogilvy Amsterdam as Digital Media Consultant (for a.o. IBM and XS4ALL).
Currently Paul is working at Starcom Amsterdam as Social Media & Communnity Consultant for Honda, Samsung, GSK, Redbull, Heineken and Nintendo.

Since 2006 Paul is writer for Marketingfacts, one of the most influential marketing and business blog in The Netherlands and curator at Upload Cinema a film club that takes the best web films to the big screen in theaters in The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Turkey.

Laurens Bianchi

Laurens Bianchi (34) was one of the first graduates of the Johan Cruyff University. Johan Cruyff, a former professional soccer player, developed a dynamic, innovative and practical sport marketing & management study program especially for athletes. Within this study Laurens could leverage his passion for sports and marketing at the same time.

After working at Dell Computers and within soccer merchandising, Laurens joined the LaComunidad team in 2007 as an Account Manager. From 2008 Laurens has been working as an Account Director for SocialMedia8, the social media marketing unit of Grupo LaComunidad. Since then he has been working on clients such as Nike, LG, Heineken, Ford, Nokia, Paramount and many more.

In 2010 Laurens received the opportunity helped with the start up of a new Dutch social media agency called Super Social. After this project, Laurens continued his work as an independent on-line consultant and today operates as a Strategic Business Developer for ICON&CO, a agency which is specialized in fan activation for (sport)brands and talents.

Laurens is highly interested in football, Italian fashion & food and starting up new on-line initiatives.

Martin Michalík

Martin Michalík (29) is a graduate of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
During his studies he had an opportunity to study Marketing & Business at University of Groningen in The Netherlands as Erasmus exchange student.

He worked part-time in a NGO and with friends on several projects as a designer and programmed few web sites, as IT was (and still is) his hobby.

But marketing is passion and therefore he joined Mindshare Slovakia straight after graduation, first as an account and later, with his affinity towards everything digital, as Manger of Invention where he developed on-line plans for Nike, Mazda, LG and other clients. After two years in Mindshare, in September 2010 he decided to test his skills, knowledge and luck, packed his gear and left Slovakia.

Since January 2011 Martin works in SocialMedia8 as a Social Media Specialist, plans strategic PR and social media campaigns, natural and paid seeding and everything related to social media. As he used to write some short stories while studying at high school, he re-discovered writing and joined the ViralBlog team in March 2011.

Martin likes geeky stuff, great movies, cycling, weird & disturbed electronic music and inspiring ads of all kinds.
