The beginning of a new year is a great time to rethink your social media strategy for your business or, in case of an agency, for your clients.
Also in 2014: Social media is not rocket science!
That’s good news because it means that with some minor adjustments to your Facebook page, Twitter account and weekly calendar you can stand out from your competition, get more leads and engage with more customers.
In the world of business it’s called social lead generation.
This infographic by GroSocial offers 5 great social media makeover tips for businesses.
My opinion?
I agree with almost every tip in this infographic.
I’m not a big fan of reading all kinds of books as suggested, as I believe you’re likely to get lost in the theory, when you should be taking the most profit in practice.
Besides that, a book about trends within social, is outdated after 10 pages of reading in my opinion.
Therefore I suggest invest your time and budget into smart social media tools.
As these will help you to gain insights of your own personal theories, while working in practice.
Tool can help you optimize your moderation and will give you stats and valuable insights from the networks that you use.
Next to tooling, invest in content!
Go beyond Facebook and Twitter and increase your social reach and positive brand awareness.
As for all: be nice to each other, don’t let social become the the cesspool of pain, aggression and negativity in 2014!
What about you?
So what would you add to these tips?
