My Opinion
Don’t chase social channels like race dogs on steroids. Certainly not based on reach. Claim your domain, go big, go niche or go home.
The brands that will succeed in the future won’t just give back to communities; they’ll actively build and nurture communities.
To me it means a lot. Seeing community marketing still being so important for social brands. Why?
In 2003 I founded community marketing agency LaComunidad. AT first only a few CMOs understood our why and mission. In 2008 we were across so many markets, and WPP acquired my agency.
In the few years after many others within WPP and its clientbase embraced our digital community marketing strategies.
Since end of 2012 I am a freejack, but the passion for communities will always be part of my DNA.
