Who Is Using Twitter?
The popularity of Twitter is taking on ecstatic forms. The social network was launched in June 2006. Today Twitter has more than 150,000 million active accounts, who sent out more than 55 million tweets a day. But who are behind all these tweets? Research centre Pew started investigating and returned with some stunning results.
The Pew studies where held among American adult internet users. Not only did they research who is using Twitter but also how. Even though the figures of Twitter users are amazingly high, one can only conclude that of all American internet users a relatively small percentage is active on Twitter.
