Infographic: The Brazil 2014 World Cup is Super Social
Never before so many men around the globe watched the opening ceremony of a World Cup. Let’s leave in the middle if they were watching JLO or all the other hot samba girls in hot pants…
Besides big football butts we have found big football data as well.
But have you seen this infographic from the guys at IMS?
Are you also shocked by Cristiano Ronaldo’s social fan base? The guy has 25.1 million followers on Twitter.
And 76.4 million friends on Facebook. That’s almost 10% of all active Facebook users on this planet!
My Opinion on the WC2014?
I like the fact that FIFA finally has embraced goal line technology. About 8 years too late, but never late than never, right?
I am ashamed about the referee’s that are throwing around penalties if it were Kudos or Facebook Likes. The penalty that Brazil got against Croatia? The penalty Spain got against Holland?
I do like the referees with their short stay graffiti spray at free kicks. However, some players do not like their new fancy Nike’s to be sprayed, have you noticed?
Next I have laughed so hard about all the creative user generated social media pics and Vines. Hilarious content!
#persieing could be the new planking. The Flying Dutchman Robin van Persie is the most shared WC2014 moment so far.
So far we have also covered the 5 Best World Cup Football Commercials. Very cool branded content!
