To celebrate the 5th anniversary of boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel’s ascension to ABC’s late night throne, Sarah Silverman made this hilarious video confession with The Sexiest Man Alive / ex-lover Matt Damon. Barely Political’s “Super Obama Girl!” completes this week’s top 3. In their latest video, released just in time for Super Tuesday, we see Amber Lee Ettinger aka Obama Girl using her supernatural powers to support and protect Barack.

This music video for a new Obama ballad by the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am and director Jesse Dylan, Bob Dylan’s son, is a huge viral success. will.i.am got inspired by Obama’s “New Hampshire Speech” and adapted the lyrics to make the speech into a song. A variety of stars like Scarlett Johansson, Tatyana Ali, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Adam Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Adam Rodriquez, Amber Valetta, Eric Balfour, Aisha Tyler, Nicole Scherzinger and Nick Cannon appear in the video. With already 5 million views on YouTube alone and over 15 million views in total the 4 minute lasting video clip will probably rank high in the 2008 rankings. (Source: Yahoo! News)
2. Sarah Silverman: I’m F*cking Matt Damon
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel’s ascension to ABC’s late night throne, Sarah Silverman made this hilarious video confession with The Sexiest Man Alive as well as ex-lover Matt Damon. The funny song, titled “I’m F*cking Matt Damon“, is a reaction to Kimmel’s ‘running gag’ (“Our apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time”) which has been going on for months. Kimmel first saw the video during a live show… The video got over 5 million views since it launched last Friday on sites like YouTube, MetaCafe, Break, Funny Or Die and Brightcove. In her latest video, released just in time for Super Tuesday, Amber Lee Ettinger aka Obama Girl uses her supernatural powers to support and protect Barack. The Democratic senator from Illinois scored very well last Thuesday and managed to beat Hillary Clinton in 14 of 24 states. The battle is not over though and remains very thrilling. 4. Pepsi: Magnetic Attraction
Last Sunday the New York Giants won the 42nd edition of the Superbowl, the American Football grand finale. In a sensational match they beat the New England Patriots, who did not lose a single match this season. The Superbowl is not just the biggest sports event of the year, it also is one of the biggest events in marketing; a 30 second commercial costs at least 2.7 million dollar. Pepsi came up with a hilarious video starring Justin Timberlake. With over 2 million views this is one of the most popular online spots. Amongst other Superbowl commercials are Victoria’s Secret, with Adriana Lima, Bud Light met Will Ferrell, Fedex, eTrade, Audi R8, Coca-Cola and many more. (Source: Future Music Charts)
5. Frozen at Grand Central
Since 2001 a New York based group of actors and comedians, who call themselves Improv Everywhere, cause ‘scenes of chaos and joy‘ in public places. Their latest mission took place in the world’s largest train station; Grand Central Station in New York City. About 200 people gathered in the main entrance to freeze at the same time for five minutes. Bystanders could not figure out what was going on, which lead to some funny reactions. 6. The Dramatic Lemur
Lat year the “Dramatic Chipmunk” video, taken from a Japanese TV show, lead to a true internet hype. In March 2007 technology magazine Wired even wrote an article about the video and the short fragment was even mixed into several hilarious variants. Since last week, the chipmunk has a successor: “Dramatic Lemur”. The original video was spoofed by many again, the most popular spoof is this remix with THX sound, which got about a million views. 7. The Surfing Duck
In the above video we see an Australian duck hitching a ride on a surfboard. The duck even made it to the national news with his surfing trip! Does that make this one a copy-cat? It remains unclear who or which company the video, seeded by Australian based Lavacoms, released. The hitching duck gathered about 75.000 views in 2 weeks.
8. Puma: Until Then…
Puma’s latest marketing campaign, which was made by the director of Sony’s famous spot Balls and Guinness’ Tipping Point; Nicolai Fulsig, is all about Puma’s vision to the year 2178. This campaign was launched during the Africa’s Cup 08’ (currently going on) to promote the new Puma cleats, The Puma v.108. There’s also a “making of” video. (Source: Culture-buzz)
9. Early Jack from Finnair
Finnair shows us the things you can do in your bosses office when he’s away. Just remember that if your boss flies with Finnair he might be back in the office earlier than you expect. Early Jack is an amusing mini-site to promote Finnair’s flights from Europe to Asia. 10. Honda: Problem Playground
This is the new Honda spot, from Wieden+Kennedy London, for the new Honda FCX Clarity; the first zero-emission hydrogen car to go into production. On the TV spot, we find a bunch of boffins using retro children’s games, such as jigsaw puzzles and Rubik’s cubes, to illustrate engineering problems that have been solved by Honda, including the hybrid engine and energy efficient solar panels. The ad is a continuation of the recent print campaign, which encouraged people online to a special website, problemplayground.com. There also is a ‘making of‘ video. (Source: CR blog)
