10 Great Examples Of How Sports Use Vine
Vine offers sports a great opportunity to engage with their audiences, in just 6 seconds.
When social network tool was launched in january 2013, many sport teams were one of the first professional users.
In the beginning, their content was a bit boring: panoramic shots of an empty stadium or someone leafing through a match programme in six seconds.
As micro content is becoming more popular and important within content marketing, sports teams and brands are becoming more creative, using the network tot engage with fans, reach promotional goals and leverage their sponsorships.
Here are 10 great examples of how sports is using Vine:
Sport Geeks thanking fans and followers
Timelapse of Southampton’s training
The line-up of the Netherlands football team
Creative storytelling by MLB
#Fortyvines Funny stop motion vines by the 49’ers
Great tips from San Francisco Giants Pro’s

My opinion?
Sport is all about the experience and the emotions it creates for fans. So it makes sense that video is a great way to convey this.
Remarkable is that footages such as goals, touch downs and other kind of footages that clubs can’t show for copyright reasons, is the most popular content on Vine.
Therefore sport clubs need to find new creative ways on networks as Vine (but also Instagram and Snapchat) to tell their stories and interact with fans.
