LEGO’s Amazing Animated 80th Birthday Video
At the 10th of August LEGO celebrated the 80th birthday of the foundation of their company. LEGO fans who spent over $50 in the LEGO online shop, received a free exclusive LEGO Birthday Cake in their your shopping bag.
However, far more interesting than a free birthday cake, is the realase of an excellent short animated filn that tells the story of the early years of this iconic company. It’s 17 minutes long but is so informative and well animated that you’ll love every minute of it…
The animated video describes the life of Danish toymaker Ole Kirk Christiansen, who created the company in 1932, and his son Godtfred, LEGO’s second owner, from the perspective of current owner Kjeld, the founder’s grandson.
Anyway, grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a look at it:
The video reminds me of the stop frame animation back in 2008 which is about Adi Dassler, founder of an another iconic brand: adidas
Both 2 great examples of iconic storytelling, using animated video. Which one do you prefer most?
